Our Story
Eden Embrace grew from both personal and professional experience.
We saw how many families care deeply, try everything, and still feel tired, unsure, or alone. Especially when dementia changes daily life, families often need more than services.
They need someone who understands, thinks along with them and helps create moments of calm and connection at home.
Frequently asked questions
Is Eden Embrace a medical care organization, and do you have nursing staff?
No. EdenEmbrace is not a medical care organization and we do not work with nursing staff.
Our focus is on personalised social care. We work with trained Care Companions who provide emotional support, companionship, structure, and meaningful daily activities. They help create calm, connection, and continuity in everyday life. Especially for elderly individuals and people living with dementia.
We do not provide medical or nursing care. This means we do not perform tasks such as injections, wound care, or medical treatments.
When medical or nursing care is needed, we believe in clear roles and strong collaboration. We are happy to work together with healthcare organizations that provide medical services, or we can recommend trusted partners. This way, your loved one receives the right care from the right professionals, while we continue to focus on what we do best.
Do you work with people with dementia?
Yes. Dementia care is a core part of our expertise. We support people living with dementia and their families by focusing on understanding behaviour, maintaining connection, and adapting care as needs change.
Who are the Care Companions?
Care Companions are trained individuals who provide personalised, in-home support through companionship, meaningful activities, and daily structure. Their role is to support emotional well-being and quality of life, not to provide medical or nursing care.
Care Companions are matched to clients based on interests, experience, and availability, as well as the needs and preferences of your loved one. This helps create a natural connection and a visit that feels familiar and comfortable.
All Care Companions work with a personalised guidance plan, so even when different companions are involved over time, everyone approaches your loved one in a consistent, respectful, and well-informed way. They are supported and guided by EdenEmbrace throughout their work.
Do you also guide family members who are navigating dementia, or is Eden Embrace only for visits?
We do both.
EdenEmbrace supports people living with dementia and the family members who care for them. Caring for someone with dementia can be overwhelming, emotional, and confusing. Caregivers shouldn’t have to navigate that alone.
We offer guidance, conversations, and psycho-education to help family members better understand what’s happening, learn practical ways to respond to behaviour, and find more calm and confidence in daily life.
Support doesn’t always start or end with visits. Sometimes, having space to talk, reflect, and ask questions is just as important. We adapt our support to your situation; whether that means visits, guidance for caregivers, or a combination of both.
Why the "Eden in Eden Embrace"
Along the way, we found a philosophy that matched exactly what we believe: the Eden Alternative.
It starts from a simple truth: the biggest challenges in dementia care are not only medical. They are also emotional and behavioural – like loneliness, anxiety, changes in how someone acts, and the painful feeling of being confronted with what you can no longer do. What is needed?
Real relationships, meaningful roles, and daily life that still feels like your life – not just a schedule someone else decided.
That idea fits exactly with what we have seen in practice:
When someone with dementia is encouraged to keep their hobbies, they light up.
When we invite them to help with small tasks – folding towels, stirring the soup, watering plants – they feel useful instead of “in the way.”
When we build the day around what is still possible, instead of what has been lost, you see their confidence return, even in little moments.
EdenEmbrace was created to bring that spirit into people’s own homes.
